When the girls go to Las Vegas, the boys have to stay at home. The Sin City is the ultimate destination for a girls’ vacation. You and your pals will find plenty of things to do: fun tours, top-notch food, relaxing spas, upbeat parties, shows, multiple shopping malls and whatnot. Here are a few tips to help you plan your Las Vegas getaway for girls, which is exactly what I’d recommend to my girlfriends going to Vegas.
1. Shopping
When girls get together shopping is inevitable. If you are budget-conscious, you can find great deals on designer items at Premium Outlets that have two locations – North in downtown Las Vegas, and South.
If money is not an issue, you can find plenty of shopping malls practically in every hotel, where you can get almost anything imaginable. If you want to get a unique Vegas experience while shopping, pick the malls that are the most fun.
At the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Hotel & Casino you can shop along a beautifully decorated canal with painted blue skies. You can watch street performances, listen to the opera or watch the living statues standing around the shops – that’s unbelievable how these people can stand still all day long and not even smile.
At the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace you can catch a couple of animatronics statue shows – The Festival Fountain and the Fall of Atlantis.
Miracle Miles shops at Planet Hollywood boast glittering lights, glamorous decorations and modern, innovative design – Vegas at its best. More about shopping here..
2. Activities
If you and your pals are like me and enjoy slightly extreme but safe activities, you should try Indoor Skydiving, or Zip Line over the Fremont Street Experience in downtown. Plus, another zip line opens in November 2013 at Rio Hotel & Casino.
Although it may sound weird, but everyone who tried the activity called “Dig This”, where you get to operate and even play basketball with real heavy duty machines such as bulldozers and excavators, swear it was the best experience of their lives.
And of course don’t miss extreme thrill rides – roller coaster running around New York New York Hotel & Casino, Big Shot, Insanity and X-Scream located on top of the Stratosphere Tower, and the huge indoor amusement park Adventuredome at Circus Circus.
Do you girls enjoy singing or play musical instruments? Then the Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp or Rock Star for a Day are your next big thing! Here you can get your own recording session with real musicians – you will get a souvenir digital recoding of your performance to take home as a proof that you rocked in Vegas!
3. Shows
Production shows are the main attraction in Las Vegas. If you have never seen a traveling show by Cirque du Soleil, don’t miss your chance when in Vegas. Out of 8 shows currently playing in Vegas, the most impressive ones are “O” and “Ka”. In “O” most of the action is taking place in water, while in “Ka” you will see dramatic battles mixed with beautifully choreographed acrobatics. If you and your girlfriends are into something naughty, then you have to see “Zumanity” – a provocative and seductive show by Cirque du Soleil.
There is also a special kind of shows in Vegas you and your girlfriends will enjoy – comedy hypnosis. That’s when a hypnotist hypnotizes volunteers and makes them do hilarious and uncensored things right on the stage. Currently there are 3 hypnotists in Vegas- Marc Savard, Kevin Lepine and Anthony Cools, offering similar shows.
Other fun shows include Absinthe, which is a circus for adults sprinkled with adult comedy acts, Blue Man Group, Recycled Percussion and Terry Fator – ventriloquist with his hilarious puppets.
And if you check out a male revue show – for example, Chippendales, your boyfriends probably won’t blame you, but it’s best not to tell them.
If you do decide to tell your boyfriends, offer something to soothe them – for example, a newly obtained diploma from a Stripper University or a Night School 4 Girls. There are at least 4 different strip tease classes in Vegas where you can learn in one short session how to perform a lap dance or a pole dance for your boyfriends. 5. Tours
It’s hard to imagine a trip to Las Vegas without taking a few tours, and there are literally hundreds of them. But you’d get the most unforgettable experience if you take a helicopter flight over the Strip, especially during the sunset, when Vegas lights up for the night.
If you have the time, take a trip to the Grand Canyon West and check out the famous Skywalk – a glass bridge, hanging right over the canyon. There are plenty of ways to get there and the choice depends on your budget – by bus, jeep, helicopter, mini van or even airplane. 4. Attractions
If you are not tired of all the shopping, sightseeing and dancing – check out some of the popular attractions unique to Vegas.
Eli Roth’s Goretorium is a relatively new attraction – it’s a scary haunted house with a permanent Halloween. If you are a history buff and enjoy museums, check out the National Atomic Testing Museum. If you imagine that an area near Las Vegas used to serve as a nuclear test site in 1950s, it’s even scarier than Eli Roth’s Goretorium.
Have a fabulous Las Vegas getaway with your girlfriends!
