Smell that? That’s the sweet smell of the air finally cooling off. During the summer, Vegas has a very dry scent to it; not really something you can get behind. Autumn is just a few weeks away, and that means the smell of decaying leaves and cooler air will soon make the air more breathable. Now that the summer is winding down, it’s finally safe to go to those nightclubs you’ve been eyeing. You know the ones; nightclubs like Chateau and ghostbar, where you can sit outside and enjoy the party without being cramped into a space.
During the summer, while you may have tried to enjoy spaces like this, there’s always been that lingering heat that made things a little uncomfortable. Now should be the perfect time to start enjoying these open air establishments. Listen, we understand that nightclubs can get stuffy and uncomfortable, so we took the liberty – for those unfamiliar with nightclubs with outdoor spaces – to break down a list of the top five. These are literally those “don’t miss” establishments that make partying outdoors a feasible “thing” in Vegas.
Chateau
Chateau may be one of the more famous clubs known for its outdoor space. The club itself is set right beneath the Paris’ Eiffel Tower experience and restaurant. It’s not too exciting if you’re stuck inside Chateau’s marvelous space – and oh, is it marvelous – but once you take an elevator ride up and step out into Chateau’s Gardens, you’ll be able to revel in the majestic of this brilliant structure.
The Gardens are seriously right in between the Eiffel Tower’s legs, and while it isn’t the real tower from Paris, it still makes for a great photo op. Decorated in pant life that will leave you forgetting that you’re in the middle of the desert, the Chateau Gardens are an elegant space. Despite this elegance, though, it’s impossible for the party from down below not to escape into the night air – so you can expect to party just as hard outside as you did indoors.
The real coup de grace of the Gardens? Step towards the balcony’s edge and you will find yourself overlooking a stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard. It’s not a magnificent view of the Strip from umpteen stories high, but people watching in Vegas is quite the treat. When you get tired of watching everyone walk by, you can direct your attention to the glorious Fountains of Bellagio, located directly across the street.
Surrender
Surrender immediately has the reputation of being a high end establishment just by being attached to a Steve Wynn property; but there is so much more to this nightclub than just a name. Looking past the giant snake embellishing the bar, Surrender provides entertainment in the form of an outdoor space. The best part about this space? It’s one of the few nightclubs that also provide a pool for its guests to party around.
Surrender‘s pool area can easily become the focus of the evening, especially with perks like VIP tables, multiple levels of cabanas, bungalows, couches, and plenty of empty space to act as a designated dance floor. If you’re wise enough to spring for a private cabana, you will find yourself in possession of a flat screen TV and balconies that overlook the Las Vegas Strip. You’re partying in Vegas, though, so I wouldn’t expect to spend too much time in your secluded cabana watching TV.
This is the desert, but there are times when we go through very wicked cold spells. To combat these, Surrender’s property managers ensured that the space can still be used by outfitting it with a fully climate controlled dome. That’s right – rain or snow, Surrender’s outdoor pool area is still available for the ultimate party.
Moon
Now, there was a little debate as to whether or not Moon belonged on this list, but I was able to convince others that it most certainly did. Moon does not have an outdoor balcony or a party space under the stars – at least not initially. When things get heated in this high energy establishment, the entire roof becomes a retractable piece, gradually turning Moon from an indoor bash to a party beneath the glow of the moon.
Moon’s uniqueness is one of the most fascinating things about it, and is one of the main reasons why it is such a sought after establishment. Even with the roof open, the party retains the same level of energy; and not once is Moon’s quality of entertainment compromised by the venue’s sudden change. If anything, it’s a welcomed addition that keeps things from getting way too steamy to enjoy.
Hakkasan
Okay, so Hakkasan is best known for its attached world-renowned restaurant; but that doesn’t mean the included outdoor space is any less magnificent. After making your way through four stories of experience – starting on the first two levels with the exquisite restaurant and passing through the Ling Ling Lounge and the nightclub – you’re treated to an outdoor space adjacent to the MGM Grand’s roof.
This outdoor space is adjacent to the main nightclub and provides its own place for the party to filter out to. Complete with its own DJ booth inside an area known fittingly as the “Garden Bar”, Hakkasan’s outdoor area also shows off a grand water feature that spans over two stories. With the Las Vegas Desert home to such refreshing weather, there’s no doubt that Hakkasan’s outdoor space will fill up quickly; but even crowded, the space is more than lavish enough to want to crowd around in.
There’s nothing like a little dinner under the stars, so don’t be afraid to ask for a “to go” box from Hakkasan’s exquisite dining experience.
XS
If you’re a regular to the Las Vegas scene, when you hear the word “extravagant”, your mind probably immediately thinks of XS. This one-of-a-kind venue is one of Sin City’s more lavished establishments, with gold embellishments laid out everywhere (even within the stitching of the furniture). XS is about more than just the gold finishings, though. The party scene is one of the largest on the Strip, and XS’s outdoor space allows for it to be even larger.
During the day, the outdoor area at XS is home to a pool area open to hotel guests only. This 27,000 square-foot feature is large enough to be its own nightclub, and once the sun sets, it essentially becomes that. Though the pool is closed when the nightclub opens, guests can still party in the summer air and take advantage of the outdoor VIP seating, premium bottle service, and separate dance area.
On Sundays, though, the venue allows its nighttimes guests the ability to take a bit of a swim. The party continues on as patrons in their swimsuits bring the party underwater. All of XS’s extravagant offers, including premium bottle service and celebrity guests DJs, are available during these nights, so don’t feel like you’re missing out on something that Friday and Saturday nights offer.
Five nightclubs. Five fantastic ways to party out beneath the desert moon. Don’t try to plan your evening on your own, though. Contact us! We’ll be your ticket to the best night under the stars that you’ve ever had.
