Almost as if in ceremony of the coming summer, the smell of dozens of barbeques waft through the air as the hot desert sun turns the nearest body of water into a cooling paradise. To some, this is simply just another holiday of the year – an honorary remembrance of the nations’ troops; to others, it’s typically the first and biggest day to start working on those tans. With the hot weather typically in full swing by Memorial Day in Las Vegas, it’s the perfect day to lie out and relax as the sun goes to town on your skin tone – but what is there to do when the sun finally sets and the town is basked in the soft glow of the moon?
Once your body has received its daily treatment of vitamin D, you’ll need to move quickly to get in on Sin City’s Memorial Day action. Like any holiday in Las Vegas, the venues fill up faster then usual thanks to a line-up of special guest DJs and drink specials. Getting into your club of choice will also require that you and your fellow girls break out the skimpy clothing and lustful stares – the two weaknesses of most doormen.
Looking at the long list of nightclubs on the Las Vegas Strip, you may find yourself a bit overwhelmed when trying to figure out where to spend the evening. Since the weather is bound to be more then satiating, you may want to pick a location that offers outdoor space or, at the very least, a decent view. A club like XS, which very much so earns the name, opens its resort pool area at night to individuals other then hotel guests. Though it would be unlikely you would not want to spend every moment inside the extravagantly decorated venue, the exterior space offers a nice setting in the fresh desert air.

For some outdoor space with a view, you should spend your evening at Chateau at the Paris. Beyond the club’s intricately detailed interior is an outdoor space known as the Chateau Gardens. Set directly beneath the legs of the Eiffel Tower replica, Chateau Gardens is a beautiful space that overlooks Las Vegas Boulevard, creating the perfect opportunity for some entertaining people watching.
If silently heckling people on the street won’t do much to entertain your group, there is another location worth trying across the street at the Bellagio. Decorated as one would expect from a Tuscan Villa, Hyde Nightclub may have one of the nicest displays one could lay their eyes on. From nearly any location inside the club, you can experience the famed Fountains of Bellagio without having to deal with a crowded sidewalk. If you happen to find a guy worthy of your company (and worth leaving your girls behind for), this vantage point creates a serene, romantic setting.
Though the sun may have set, the fresh desert air rarely doesn’t deliver. Rather then spending Memorial Day in the confines of a hot, stuffy club, find a club with a space for fresh air and thoroughly enjoy the Vegas nightlife.
